In Him

I find it most fascinating what you get for just being a child of God. The phrase “child of God” is not everyone who walks the Earth. It’s also not everyone who claims to be religious. A child of God is one who has accepted the free gift of Jesus’ substitutionary sacrifice for their sin. They have decided to turn from their way (the way of man, sin, and pride) and receive the gift spoken of in Ephesians 2.8-9 and John 3. This is the beginning of a life surrendered to Christ. A life dedicated to Him. They have a daily, and even moment by moment, opportunity to choose to follow Jesus (Matthew 4.19). This is all predicated on one thing… belief. One must believe (John 3.16; Hebrews 11.6). This believing is expected for the rest of your natural born days. It is also one of the greatest gifts you can present back to Jesus. When we accept this gift of eternal salvation, we are allowed to believe Him more and more. This is usually shown in accepting and trusting what He has said already in His Bible. It is a privilege to live a life in the light of truly accepting what He says about you. This is what the scripture calls being “In Him”.

Jesus demonstrated this life of believing the truth, accepting it, and trusting it. For example, Jesus resisted the devil by applying God’s Word in Matthew 4 and Luke 4. When you are attacked, it is the knowledge and use of the Word that allows you to resist temptation. We cannot resist the devil by human will or human effort. We resist him by spiritual means: by using the Word of God; being empowered by His Holy Spirit; and through prayer. Each of these Jesus showed us. Do you accept what God says in His Word about you, and live accordingly? Being in Him is such a blessing that over flows into each and every area of our lives. It’s the difference maker in so many wonderful ways. Are you in Him?

As we look at His Bible, apply it in faith and obedience, allowing the Spirit to empower that action through prayer we can be victorious. Anyone want some victory? it is available to every child of God no matter your circumstances or your background. Your past matters not at all! Jesus is a changer! He works best on us when we are weakened and messed up (2 Corinthians 12.9-11). When we are in Him we have all the resource we need to win. Maybe it is an issue of not knowing what you already are in Him and what that makes you. Your position as a child of God is precious. Here is list composing of what are you already in Him, since you have been saved.

I Am Accepted In Christ Jesus therefore:
I am God’s child (John 1.12)
